Ratio decidendi

The rule this decision rests on

The Appellate Tribunal's power to condone delay in filing an appeal under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code is limited by the proviso to Section 61(2) to a further period of 15 days, and where an appeal is filed beyond the period of limitation plus that 15-day extension, the Tribunal has no jurisdiction to condone the delay on the ground of sufficient cause, so that the delay application must be dismissed and the memorandum of appeal rejected.
