Ms. Bina Mundhra vs Sebi
- CitationAppeal No.680 of 2022
Ratio decidendi
The rule this decision rests on
The appeal, being an illiquid stock option matter falling within the SEBI Settlement Scheme, 2022 under Regulation 26 of the SEBI (Settlement Proceedings) Regulations, 2018, is governed by the Tribunal's earlier decision in Dhanwantri Suppliers Pvt. Ltd. v. SEBI, and is therefore disposed of by directing the appellant to apply for settlement before the authority concerned within two weeks, whereupon that authority must treat the application as one filed in a pending proceeding and pass appropriate orders. A delay in filing an appeal may be condoned where the reasons stated in the accompanying application justify it.
